Important Software Questions for Postgrads

Come along to this PARSA Forum to discuss these important questions of relevance to all postgraduates:
• Due to the University Software Audit, only recommended software will be put on Information Commons computers in 2010. What software should be there? (Microsoft Office will be).
• If a research student, is there any software you need on your college work computer, if so what?
• Is there any computer software for which you would like training that is NOT included in the ANU Learn How booklet?
• What software have you found useful as a coursework or research student?
• What specialised software do you need for your course, eg Microsoft Project?
• If a research student, what software have you requested from your college to purchase for your work computer?
• As there are various versions of software applications, eg 2003, is there any software for which you need the 2007 version? If so, what and why?
