Dr Kate Wilson

Dr Kate Wilson is a senior lecturer and program coordinator with the Research Student Development Centre, working on the GTP and other programs. Kate initially joined the ANU in 2004 as lecturer and first year coordinator in the Department of Physics. Concurrently Kate was Program Director of the Australian Science Olympiads Physics Program, an academic program for gifted and talented high school students. Kate took time away from ANU in 2008 and 2009 to do a Graduate Diploma in Education (secondary teaching) at the University of Canberra and have two children. Kate has a PhD in physics from Monash University, has taught at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales and published research in computational physics, condensed matter physics and science education.
